And All That Jazz Competition Room is a must see at the 2013 National Barbie® Doll Collectors Convention. In our Competition Room we’ll showcase stunning vintage and contemporary dolls in stellar condition as well as unique and creative entries from your fellow conventioneers.
We've added new categories to pique your interest and entice new Competition Room participants. New Orleans offers a unique and rich history and culture to draw from in the categories presented. All will want to visit the Competition Room to marvel at the vintage, contemporary and creative entries.
Our judges’ panel will review the entries and award excellence in each category. Once again the popular People’s Choice Awards will be voted on by all our conventioneers in the Vintage, Mix and Match, and Creative categories. All conventioneers are encouraged to view the competition Room and vote for their favorite entries. People’s Choice Awards will be announced at the closing banquet.

We will have a security guard on duty from the time the competition entries are placed in the competition room, throughout the viewing hours, until pick-up at the end of the competition schedule.
*** During competition viewing, no purses or tote bags will be permitted inside the competition room. We recommend you leave your purses and tote bags in your hotel room or with a trusted friend while you are viewing the entries. ***.
We are looking for a record number of entries and hope that everyone will take an opportunity to enter competition as well as be a viewer. We would like to hear from conventioneers who want to volunteer as a judge, apprentice judge, or helper.
Competition Chair Madison Plendl is available to answer all your questions you have about the Competition Room, whether you are a Competition veteran or are going to take the plunge and enter for the first time.
