About The Souvenir Convention Doll Designers

The creative team behind Magia 2000, Mario Paglino and Gianni Grossi, have become among the most sought-after One-of-A-Kind doll designers and artists in the world. Over the past 13 years, they have designed dolls showcasing some of the world’s most famous women, including the official Brigitte Bardot doll, a set of Madonna dolls for a London Museum tribute, and dolls representing Italian television star Simona Ventura. But their true achievement is in creating OOAK dolls that are refined, classic and cosmopolitan, and for that, they have developed a large and devoted following.
Mario and Gianni designed the 2006 National Barbie® Doll Collectors Convention souvenir doll “Film NoirTM Barbie®”. They founded, organized and chaired the recent Italian Doll Convention, and also co-designed its souvenir doll. They collaborated with Italian Vogue for a special series of dolls featured by the publication. They have generously donated OOAK dolls which have raised over $55,000 for charity.
Their flair for elegant and sophisticated design, combined with an attention to detail and incredible Italian handwork made Magia 2000 the obvious choice to design the 2012 National Barbie® Doll Collectors Convention Souvenir Doll.
