Strike A Pose Fashion Show

Shine in the spotlight of the 2008 National Barbie® Doll Collectors Convention – the FASHION SHOW!    Ever since Barbie® doll’s appearance in 1959 she has sported hundreds of fashions that represent each era, all well worthy of life-size reproductions.

Well, here is your chance!!!  Model your favorite Barbie®, Ken®, relative or friend of Barbie® outfit to help represent the wonderful years of Barbie® as a teenage fashion model.  From the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s to present day, the choice can be yours!  For those who love haute couture, Barbie® has worn designer dresses from the likes of Bob Mackie, Escada, Versace, Vera Wang, Nicole Miller, Nolan Miller (of Dynasty fame), Zac Posen, Badgley Mischka, Ralph Lauren, Giorgio Armani, Christian Dior, Donna Karan, Byron Lars, and the list goes on. 

For trendier fashions, consider Anna Sui, Cynthia Rowley, or Juicy Couture.  Why not model a dream wedding gown designed for Barbie® by Carolina Herrera, Monique Lhuillier or Reem Acra? 

Perhaps dressing like a celebrity interests you….then consider Cher, Lucille Ball, Audrey Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe, Elizabeth Taylor, Elvis Presley®, Frank Sinatra, Hilary Duff, LeAnn Rimes or Martina McBride.  And don’t forget the movies….Barbie® has portrayed the beloved characters from Grease™, My Fair Lady™, and The Wizard of Oz™.  The Great Eras collection and the Dolls of the World® are both wonderful opportunities to model fashions from not only different eras but from different countries.  Lastly, Barbie® doll’s fabulous fashions and accessories from her early years are prime modeling opportunities for vintage lovers.
