YOUR HOST CUBS
THE CENTRAL CAROLINA FASHION DOLL CLUB
The Central Carolina Fashion Doll Club (CCFDC) was established in 2009. While the club is based in Raleigh, North Carolina, we have over 70 members throughout the US as well as in Australia and Canada. Our club members are referred to as Pink Heels as North Carolina is known as the Tar Heel State. The club has hosted events to promote doll collecting and maintains a website for collectors. Club members have styled and donated over a thousand dolls to charities and regularly donate new toys to Toys for Tots and other charities.
While this is our first time hosting a convention, the club has been very active with the National Barbie® Doll Collectors Convention. The club members have donated regularly to the silent auction and raffle room as well as volunteering. Since 2011, the club has sponsored the Southern Event which is a fun meal event where attendees can connect with other collectors.
THE CENTRAL FLORIDA PIXIE DUSTERS FASHION DOLL CLUB
Founded by Robin Goglas, the Central Florida Pixie Dusters Fashion Doll Club has always had two goals. The first is to be a place to celebrate Barbie® Doll with other collectors and friends. The second was to be a Steering Committee Club and to always play an active part in the annual Barbie® Doll Collectors Conventions. Last year, we lost Robin to cancer. However, her friends believe in continuing her goals. Pixie Dusters lives on. We have now primarily moved to a Zoom format and welcome collectors of Vintage to Superstar era Barbie® Dolls.
The club is so proud to be an integral part of the 2023 Convention and cannot wait to welcome you to our founding city of Orlando!
THE QUEEN CITY BEAUTIFUL DOLL CLUB
The Queen City Beautiful Doll Club (QCBDC) was founded in November 1992. Currently, the club has members in eleven states, as well as Canada. Based in Cincinnati, Ohio, the QCBDC holds monthly meetings, as well as separate Zoom meetings for members outside of Ohio. For over twenty-five years, the QCBDC has been hosting local doll shows. In 2005, the QCBDC hosted the first Kelly™ doll convention to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the little sister of Barbie® doll.
The club also hosted the 2006 Kelly™ doll convention. Through the years, the QCBDC has supported many charitable organizations including Canine Companions. They provide service dogs for children, adults, and veterans with disabilities. They even named a dog after Barbie® doll as a thank you for the club's donation.
