MUSEUMS

Toy & Miniature Museum  816-333-2055
Displays antique toys, scale miniatures, Russian lacquer art, dolls and doll houses.  Housed in a 1911 mansion, the museum has 24 rooms and a gift shop.

Negro Leagues Baseball Museum  816-221-1920
The NLBM was conceived as a museum to tell the complete story of Negro Leagues Baseball, from the average players to the superstars.

Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art  816-751-1278
Nationally and internationally recognized as one of America’s finest general art museums.  The permanent collection contains more than 28,000 works of art, with special distinction in Asian Art and European paintings.

The sights and sounds of a uniquely American art form come alive at the American Jazz Museum.  The museum includes interactive exhibits and educational programs as well as the Blue Room, a working jazz club.

Arabia Steamboat Museum  816-471-1856
A permanent exhibit featuring over 100 tons of artifacts from a salvaged steamboat that sank in the Missouri River in 1856.

All aboard! Union Station is Kansas City’s premier entertainment destination for family and cultural activities.  Hosting various traveling exhibits throughout the year, Union Station is also home of the KC Rail Experience.

Experience more than 80 years of Hallmark Cards’ history presented through fun interactive  exhibits, displays and videos that enable visitors to understand the creativity and craftsmanship in making Hallmark products.

OTHER ATTRACTIONS

National World War I Museum at Liberty Memorial  816-784-1918
Opened in 2006, this museum serves as the first American and only national museum dedicated to the Great War.  The 30,000-square-foot core exhibit features more than 50,000 artifacts.

Celebrating its 99th year in 2008, the Kansas City Zoo offers visitors a unique experience of seeing more than 900 animals in naturalistic settings, all stretched across 200 acres in Swope Park.

Harley-Davidson Final Assembly Plant Tour  877-883-1450
