Convention Policies and Procedures

REGISTRATION

REGISTRATION includes: Welcome reception/silent auction, one luncheon, two dinners, and all entertainment/activities; access to the raffle room, competition room, programs, live auction, fashion show, exhibits, souvenir shop, the Psychedelic Lounge; admittance to the salesroom; table gifts from the convention; the souvenir doll; the option to participate in the fashion show, competition, workshops, and the opportunity to be a table host. You may check in for the convention at any of the many convenient times available throughout the week, beginning on Tuesday, July 27, 2016. A photo id (Passport, Driver’s License or similar) is required for registration check in.

Individuals are not allowed to register for other conventioneers. Once you register, you will receive your convention bag, an updated schedule, and other surprises and goodies.

NAME BADGES & ACCESS TO CONVENTION EVENTS

Conventioneers must wear their name badges and convention lanyard at all times to gain admittance to any and all functions. A fee of $20.00 will be charged to replace each lost or misplaced name badge. Only individuals registered for the convention are permitted at the convention functions. An exception to this rule is made for a convention dealer’s non-registered helper, who only has access to the salesroom.

CANCELLATIONS

ALL CANCELLATIONS MUST BE RECEIVED IN WRITING VIA MAIL OR E-MAIL BY MARCH 1, 2016.

A cancellation fee of $50.00 will be charged for cancellations up to and including that date. Cancellation requests must be sent to B Convention, LLC, 18 Jonathan Drive, Newark, DE 19702 or be emailed to convention2016@aol.com. After March 1, 2016, you may receive a 50% refund of your registration fee minus a $50 cancellation fee if your convention spot is filled by someone on the wait list.

Cancelled registrations are not entitled to any further refund with respect to pre-paid convention related events, including but not limited to workshops, VIP passes, souvenir orders or raffle tickets, nor is the cancelled registration entitled to any part of the convention package.

ON-SITE REGISTRATION DEADLINE

All attendees must register in person at the registration table by Thursday July 28, 2016, by 10:00 am or the attendee’s registration will be forfeited with no refund. Any forfeited registration space will be offered to those on the waiting list.

AGE REQUIREMENTS

Conventioneers must be at least 13 years of age on or prior to July 27, 2016. Please have appropriate proof of age with photo, or some other ID which will prove the age of the child. There is an immediate, non-refundable termination of a conventioneer’s registration if the age requirement is violated. Children under 13 years of age will only be allowed in the salesroom on public day.

CONVENTION GIFTS

In order to receive convention package gifts, including but not limited to the convention doll, attendees must be present at the convention event at the time gifts are distributed.

PETS

Pets are not permitted at any convention function, nor at the hotel. An exception is made for seeing eye dogs, hearing dogs or other dogs which assist persons with special needs.

VEGETARIAN MEALS

If you have not indicated on your registration form that you require a vegetarian or gluten free meal at convention meal functions, please send an email to convention2016@aol.com. More detailed special meal requirements must be arranged through the hotel directly by the conventioneer. The final responsibility for special meal requirements lies with each conventioneer.

***HANDBAGS AND TOTES***

During Raffle Room and Competition viewing, no purses or tote bags will be permitted inside the room. We recommend you leave your purses and tote bags in your hotel room or with a trusted friend while you are viewing the entries and raffle items.

CAMERAS AND RECORDING DEVICES

We encourage you to take pictures and videos at the fashion show, in the competition room, any exhibits, and the wonderful One-of-a-Kind creations for the Silent Auction and Live Auction. Please note that photographs as well as video or audio recording devices are prohibited during the Mattel presentation and during the viewing of any videos, Program Series, slide presentations or live entertainment. All other pictures, video or audio recordings of the convention are for your personal and private use only, and may not be otherwise shown publicly or offered for sale. Your entry into the convention shall constitute your acceptance of these terms.

SIGNS/ADVERTISEMENTS

Please do not post sales information on walls or elevators. Bulletin boards will be available throughout the hotel for anyone wishing to post advertisements. Posting of sales information anywhere except designated bulletin boards may result in removal and/or damage charges to the advertiser.

CONVENTION LOGOS AND GRAPHICS

All convention logos and graphics are for the exclusive use of the 2016 National Barbie® Doll Collectors Convention and the BConvention, LLC. They may not be reproduced without written permission from the B Convention, LLC and Mattel.
